Originally designed as a gentleman’s cruiser, the Oyster LD43 embodies timeless elegance. However, after nearly two decades, she was due for an upgrade to meet contemporary design standards and technology expectations.

Classic Charm

The concept of a “gentleman’s cruiser” is deeply rooted in a tradition of understanding elegance, performance and refinement. These vessels are designed not for sheer speed but for sophistication, leisurely cruising experience that exudes timeless class. The Oyster LD43 perfectly embodies this style, with its graceful lines, practical layout, and attention to comfort and detail.

Tradition and Innovation

True to the gentleman’s cruiser style, luxury is present in every detail of the refit but is expressed subtly. The materials used are premium fabrics, fine leather, and high-quality fittings. The helmseats were completely redesigned with a focus on ergonomic comfort and modern aesthetics, whilst also reducing their size within the space. The highest quality materials and beautiful stitching techniques were used to craft seats that exude luxury while ensuring durability.

Dash

A complete modernisation of the dash area has brought this boat into current times. With the dash panels sprayed black to house a bigger 16″ screen, along with other new equipment and controls to complete the upgrade. The entire helm pod has been reupholstered in a beautiful leather to ensure the more practical elements of the boat still look & feel part of the refit.

The Cockpit upholstery was updated with beautiful fabrics that are not only stylish but also highly resistant to wear, UV exposure and moisture. The new colour palette and textures were carefully selected to enhance the overall ambiance, offering a more inviting and sophisticated environment for guests.

Art-Deco Influences

A standout design element of the refit is the installation of an art-deco-inspired headboard in the main cabin. This piece serves as a visual focal point, seamlessly blending modern elegance with vintage charm, with its geometric patterns, sleek lines, and luxurious materials. The headboard’s intricate patterns and materials echo the luxury of classic 1920s design while providing a contemporary flair that ties the cabin together beautifully.
